Fat fire extinguisher

Never use water. Turn off the cooker, put a lid on or spray gently onto the surface from a distance with the fat fire extinguisher.

Never use water. It causes a fireball.

Turn off the cooker if you can do so safely.

Small pot or pan? Put a fitting lid on and leave it there.

Otherwise take the fat fire extinguisher and pull the safety pin.

From the distance on the label spray gently onto the surface, do not blast into it.

Do not move the pot, let it cool down.
Caution
- If the cooker hood is burning too, get out and raise the alarm.
For first aiders and fire wardens
- Inform the fire brigade anyway if burning fat may have entered the extraction duct.
